We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. when approaching the subject matter in this way, the "missing piece" could perhaps be the color scheme. the realistic colors negate the abstract feel that this photo arouses on a subconscious level.
one could conclude that by manipulating the colors into a complimentary color scheme (ie. make the ocean an 'otherworldly' sea green-the color that GREEN EYES display during, or right after a big cry) that it would discreetly provoke a more intense subconscious reaction, which to me, is all important in such subject matter.
or, i could just be full of it
